When summer sheds its shell outside
the drooping, dampened fence
that surround a swimming pool,
I begin to realize rainy days
and humid afternoons
make me sink in brooding waters.
Where reality lies just above the surface,
and the drops of rain scatter,
which I can't hear,
because I've already sunk in too deep.
And the rain mixes with
summer waters,
and my mind is too hazy,
to tell what's what,
and I'm already drowning in
my muddled thoughts.
My imagination swims uneven strokes
and hurdles the bounds of
the possible and impossible.
Because in summer,
the mirage becomes real.

I love the perspective! And it's cute... OTL I'MSORRYI'MSTUCKONCUTE. I really love this.

Aghhhh I had Verithins too. I bought them because I didn't know they were different from normal color pencils. They're so... so hard. I don't know. It's like you have to press really hard to get some color out of them. But I actually bought a small pack of Prang pencils afterward which were really nice to work with. :)

Yeah, some friends bought the Verithins for me, and I was very excited to use them, but then I realized it meant "very thin" and that they should only be technically used in combination with regular prismas to apply small details. :O_o: That's why they're difficult to use for an entire picture. :XD:
I've never used Prang pencils, would you recommend them over Prismas?

Thank you so much for the comment and :+fav: . :]

It's hard for me to say they are better than prisma, because everyone has different preferences. I'm very used to them so I prefer them. They don't put down as much wax as Prisma so it's easier to start with very thin, light layers of color. I believe they're cheaper than prismas at least, and they are good quality pencils. But if you have a chance to buy a super pack of prismacolor pencils you should probably go for it, that way you have them and don't have to go back and buy some for college. :o

I wonder if I'll even need them in college. I think it depends on what type of picture you're trying to complete which pencils to use I guess.
Sometimes having all that waxy wholesome goodness of build-up makes a picture look rich and polished, but at other times you want some softer and more subtle, and I think that's what your style is most like, which may be a good reason to stick with the pencils you use right now. :D
Either way, thanks for the feedback. ;]
